2 years since a post!! Really?!!

So I have once again been inspired to write. I looked at my one and only last blog and it was 2 years ago! Seriously! Wow! Okay, so I have to try to do better. I can't believe how fast the years go by. I look at my wonderful boys and see that they are blooming into wonderful young men.

Ethan started a new chapter in his life, he is in the junior high wing at his school. Wow! What happened to my 5 lbs 3 oz little bundle?  So far I think he loves it. Which is great!  He wanted to play football but due to mine and Jason's job, well we weren't able to take Ethan back and forth to practice. So we told him that since he isn't able to make it to the practices that maybe he should sit this year out.  He was actually okay with this decision.  I think scrimmaging with the other school helped this decision. Those fellas were ALOT bigger than Ethan. So its at least one more year of relief for my heart.

Simon is in the 3rd grade now so he's on another wing at the school. He is not loving it so much. Homework! Homework! Homework!  This Mama isn't loving all the homework either.  Simon likes to be constantly doing something....except homework.  I think he just feels tied down.  We fought last week with  homework. He knows to come home, eat a snack, then sit at the table until homework is done.  It was like pulling teeth!  He had sooo much but I know that this is due going from laid back 2nd grade to nose to the grind stone 3rd grade.  He is going to be going to after school so that should help with homework some.  We will get there.

And then there's Levi!  He has looked forward to going to big school since he was 2 or 3 years old.  He quickly learned last year that Ms. Tammy's Daycare was not big school.  So this year he is actually at the boys school in Pre - K.  He is so excited.  Today he got to take a teddy bear to school. Well, actually, he took Monk Monk.  A little stuffed monkey we found on clearance at Old Navy when Levi was probably six months old.  He loves this thing.  I have to admit. Monk Monk is pretty cute.  He has different colored yard on him kind of like a rainbow.  Levi got up this morning without a hitch.  He had Monk Monk in tow when I left for work. Oh yeah, Levi is on a 3rd wing of the school. So I have all 3 boys in a different wing at school. Whew!

I am so thankful for these boys. Thankful that God chose me to be their Mama.  We are definitely blessed more than we deserve. My prayer is that God will continue to work in our lives to do his will.  I pray that he helps us to be a light for someone who may not know him.  We've gone through some rough patches this year but I know that God will prevail and lead us the way we need to go.  Have a blessed day!! Smile at someone today, it may be what they need to make it through the day.

New but edited old Blog!!!!

Well, I've decided to take the plunge and re-start this blog. I have so much to talk about!!!!!! πŸ’œπŸ’• Let me start out by telling you a little about our family and how far it has come.  In 1998, I started dating my soon to be forever. πŸ’‘ In February of 1999, we vowed to spend the rest of our lives together. πŸ’’✝To love, honor, and cherish each other. ✝ God knew exactly what he was doing when he put us together. :) Well then in 2001, He decided to add to our family. πŸΌπŸ‘Ά God must have seen us fit because in 2002... our first son, Ethan, made his grand appearance!  And then in 2005.. Simon, our middle son, made his debut! πŸΌπŸ‘Ά2009, God blessed us again with Levi! :) Boys! Boys! Boys!  πŸ’— I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.  I get asked if we think about trying for a girl... and yes sometimes but I'm pretty content with my boys. :) We have been blessed beyond measure!  There is never a dull moment in our house. And with that,  I hope to use this ...

I am a Rainbow.

Today has been a good day. Nothing out of the ordinary, just life. However, we ended the day with a book from the boys shelf called "I am a rainbow". I thought it would be just about the colors, boy was I wrong. It actually spoke to my heart. Got the ole brain and heart working together.... Thinking..... Pondering. It's a book about feelings. Who would have thought, right. I've never thought about being a rainbow before. Rainbows are just rainbows!  I was wrong. The book talks about sometimes we are pink and sweet as cotton candy. Sometimes we are red when we are angry. We are blue when we get left out. And green when we are jealous. I've never thought of it that way but its true. We all have these colors or moods and we are a rainbow. We have different feelings all the time. We may wake up blue but be pink as cotton candy by bedtime.  We just have to remember that people we encounter are also one of those rainbow colors. All it takes is a smile sometimes to make...
